last sunday we farm hopped in lovely wakefield. it was grey and drizzly, but that didn’t stop folks from touring roots and shoots, juniper farm, and ferme et forêt and enjoying the bounty at each one. there was sheep sheering and apple pressing, beer and poutine, kale forests and (beautiful!) cabbage flowers.
we had a blast putzing around, but the day reinforced that farm work is damn hard…add our local farmers to the list of the bajillion things i am lucky enough to be grateful for this long weekend. and as usual, thanks to you for visiting my tiny (lately neglected) corner of the internet.
happy (canadian) thanksgiving!
